To make its mark in Vancouver's competitive dining scene, Dovetail needed a brand identity that captured its West Coast vibe, travel-inspired spirit, and culinary flair. We began by immersing ourselves in Dovetail’s vision, conducting brand discovery, customer research, and competitor analysis to create a distinctive identity. Inspired by the California coast, we incorporated earthy tones with hints of green and blue, reflecting the coastal landscapes in a contemporary aesthetic. A custom wordmark, adorned with organic curves, was meticulously designed to harmonize with the chic bohemian interior and retro-inspired finishes. The iconic logo, marrying a palm tree with a dovetail joint, symbolizes the fusion of West Coast ingredients and travel-inspired offerings.
